PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — More than 2,600 nurses and technicians have reached a new three-year agreement with Temple Health.
Eighty-seven percent of Temple University Hospital Nurses Association members, along with 90% of Temple Allied Professionals, voted in favor of the contract Friday.
The agreement includes additional security measures for staff and patients, along with improved staffing and wage increases.
The union was set to go on strike Monday.
We use our collective strength to advocate for things like safe staffing, universal access to healthcare, and prevention of harassment and violence against healthcare workers. Our advocacy was instrumental in passing Act 102, Pennsylvania's ban on mandatory overtime for healthcare workers.
