Your commitment to patient care doesn’t disappear when you change roles, retire, or step outside a PASNAP bargaining unit. The experience, judgment, and values you carry from years in healthcare don’t go away—they shape who you are. That’s why PASNAP created the Associate Member Program: to make sure you always have a place in this movement.
PASNAP is a union built by bedside professionals who know what it means to fight for safe staffing, quality care, and dignity in the workplace. Associate Membership allows you to stay connected, informed, and active—because advocacy doesn’t end when a job changes. It continues with those who refuse to walk away from what’s right.
The program welcomes:
Former PASNAP members who changed jobs or retired
Healthcare professionals not currently represented by PASNAP (yet)
Students preparing to enter nursing or allied health professions
Associate Members are an important part of PASNAP’s statewide advocacy and organizing. Members:
Support safe staffing standards and workplace violence prevention
Participate in campaigns, legislative efforts, and advocacy action
Receive updates on statewide healthcare policy and union priorities
Attend educational sessions, events, and trainings
Strengthen solidarity across facilities and region
Your voice still matters—and it still makes a difference.
Dues are $20/month. There are two options:
AIM – Associate Independent MemberFor healthcare professionals not currently retired
ARM – Associate Retired MemberFor retired professionals who want to remain engaged
Healthcare today is being driven by corporate consolidation, unsafe staffing levels, and decisions made by executives who have never worked a bedside shift. That makes our collective voice more important than ever.
If you believe in patient-first care, professional respect, and union power, this is your way to stay involved.
Stay with PASNAP. Stay connected. Stay in the fight.
We use our collective strength to advocate for things like safe staffing, universal access to healthcare, and prevention of harassment and violence against healthcare workers. Our advocacy was instrumental in passing Act 102, Pennsylvania's ban on mandatory overtime for healthcare workers.
